The Platform for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (PETAL) and the Office of Faculty Affairs partner together to provide an orientation for faculty new to the University of Miami. During orientation, faculty are provided information on available resources related to teaching, research, and other scholarly activities. Faculty also get to meet key support staff from various departments in addition to connecting with their fellow colleagues.

Join us for New Faculty Orientation! This year the event will take place Tuesday, August 15 at the Kislak Center from 9 am- 2 pm. Light breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided.
At the New Faculty Orientation get ready to dive into a range of topics related to teaching, research, and other scholarly pursuits. You’ll meet your support teams from faculty affairs, research administration, educational innovation, and Title IX. You'll also discover different resources available at the University to support you and your work during our faculty resource fair. Lastly, don’t miss the chance to engage in an exclusive Q&A session with the Provost!
