The PETAL affiliated faculty consist of current UM faculty who present strong scholarly and pedagogic interest in teaching excellence. PETAL affiliated faculty members pursue ongoing professional development on current trends in higher education, seek out research and publication opportunities to advance the knowledge base for excellence, apply new pedagogical approaches in teaching, and guide the implementation of teaching and learning initiatives at the University of Miami. These faculty members serve as leaders in developing and delivering PETAL programs such as the Course Mentors program.
