We offer our sincere thanks to the following Academic Technologies and University of Miami Libraries teams who consulted and shared information with faculty at the Faculty Showcase.
A key goal for the Faculty Showcase is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and impact educators across the University of Miami.
Speakers at the Faculty Showcase provided an interactive experience and opportunity for professional development for themselves and attendees. This year we expanded our learning circles and included faculty exhibits.
A learning circle is a open and collaborative discussion for faculty, instructors, and staff to hear and share new teaching strategies, meet new colleagues and evaluate how it can apply to their course. A learning circle leader will share their story on a particular change they have implemented in their teaching pactice and lead a discussion in how to apply their example in other courses.
A faculty exhibit is an interactive, immersive station where a faculty leader will share the results of implementing an idea, teaching technique, technology, or even a theme that has enhanced their practice. Faculty leaders are welcomed to exhibit via medium of their choosing, such as a poster, video, examples of student work, mobile applications, or instructional equipment.
