Mission Statement

PETAL’s mission is to advance the culture of teaching at the University of Miami by developing, nurturing, and recognizing learner-centered, reflective, and evidence-based educational strategies. We aim to make the University of Miami a site of transformational learning by supporting faculty members and other University stakeholders in teaching and teaching-related initiatives.
